& then you.

The moment I heard this song, I knew it was meant for this series of pictures.
Adrienne & Phillip,
an engagement stop-motion:

And then you - Greg Laswell

Look for another update soon, regarding all things time-consuming.

A & P | Virginia Beach, VA.

Adrienne & Phillip were such a wonderful couple to shoot engagement pictures of. They had no problem just diving into the moment & not paying any attention to me! (the way it should be!) They were such a pleasure to work with.

Their initials on this post are actually a funny coincidence - they are the same as the subject I am currently spending ALL of my free time studying.. and if you couldn't guess what it was... anatomy & physiology... you're not missing much. Just a lot of memorization and stressful mind-blowing.

So, after this post, there will be a slight hiatus until after midterms (at least) & then I hope to resume with some long awaited projects.

I got a new lighting kit in the mail this week (& I haven't even had time to open it!?!?!) So, new work from that will be forthcoming, along with some random pieces from a few other shoots.

I have a new stop motion (featuring the lovely Adrienne & Phil) that I am SO excited to share with you all, and I plan on uploading that tonight after the pictures are posted. Cross your fingers that our current crazy thunder storm doesn't knock out power in the meantime!

Thank you for your patience as Graydon Avenue Photography takes on some very new, very challenging changes. Bear with me as I work to bring you new work on a more regular basis.

Adrienne & Phillip have such a great chemistry together. It was great to converse with them over our walks to and from the ocean, along atlantic avenue & onto the strip. Thank you for the referral, Mark! Without any further ado, here's Adrienne & Phillip!

there's more where this one came from....

Stop motion's next!

early morning...

I am sitting at my desk at work, sipping on my hazelnut coffee + steamed milk (courtesy of 7-11, they are the only place open at 5...), catching up on tidbits of the news & courtesy of Mrs. Summer - trying to be thankful for my day even in the minor details. Like being up before the sun, or even the shadows of the sun. ;)

There are some exciting new pictures brewing from Graydon Avenue. I got the pleasure of shooting a couple on the beach here not too long ago, which was an absolute pleasure. Keep your eyes peeled for that in the next day or two.

I am really wishing for some inspiration coupled with "me" time... no work, no homework, no studying, nothing. I feel like if there's ever been a time, it would be now. Summer & it's hustle and bustle are over, I feel like it's time to slow down. I need to dig out the old film camera & make use of this time.

I am eagerly awaiting Autumn.. Fall.. Autumn. I always go back & forth with calling it Fall or Autumn. I love both. I prefer Autumn for when I'm writing, and fall for when I'm speaking. I think. At least for today. I am already enjoying the cooler mornings, the light layer of dew on my windshield & the urge to turn on the heat in my car, if only for 20 or 30 seconds to remove the chilly overnight air.

Another semester at school has just begun, and i'm super excited about being this much closer to being done here & (hopefully) heading out of the area for some new adventures... I feel some big changes with scenery coming soon.

See you all in a few days!
